Design and manufacturing often happen in separate worlds: engineering delivers the drawing and production later finds out what does not work in practice. At M&I, the approach is different.
Decisions made together
Engineering, planning and production discuss the equipment before and during manufacturing. Questions about assembly sequence, welding access or the need for auxiliary fixtures are resolved early, when adjustments are still simple.
Less rework
This close collaboration reduces rework and makes lead times more predictable. It also means that the knowledge gained in manufacturing flows back into engineering and improves future projects.
